WARRENSBURG, Mo., – Coming off back-to-back MIAA Regular Season Championships, the Central Missouri Mules basketball team has released its schedule for the upcoming 2013-14 season.
Head Coach Kim Anderson’s squad will open the season with a pair of exhibition games against Division I foes. The Mules will open the season Nov. 1 in Columbia against Missouri. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. tip-off at Mizzou Arena. Three days later UCM travels to Clarksville, Tenn. to take on Austin Peay on November 4 at 7 p.m.
The regular season gets underway on Nov. 9 and 10 when the Mules take part in the Sanford Pentagon Basketball Showcase in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Mules will play Northern State on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. and Augustana (S.D.) on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. at the brand new Pentagon by Sanford Health.
The home-opener is scheduled for Nov. 13 against Tabor at 7:30 p.m. at the UCM Multipurpose Building. UCM will also be taking part in the St. Mary’s Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 29 and 30 in San Antonio, Texas. The Mules will play St. Mary’s and Southeastern Oklahoma State during the trip.
The MIAA portion of the schedule tips off on Dec. 5 when MIAA Co-Champion Fort Hays State comes to the Multipurpose Building. The Mules have 13 home dates in the 2013-14 season, including nine games against conference competition. The Mules finish the season with four of their final six games on the road before the MIAA Tournament quarterfinals get underway on Friday, March 7 in Kansas City.
