She was born June 10, 1926, in Dexel, Mo., the daughter of Nicholas and Georgia (Scott) Kramer.
In 1991 she was united in marriage to Vincent Hugunin in Harrisonville, Mo. They settled in Warrensburg and enjoyed retirement together by traveling and spending time with family.
Evelyn graduated from Windsor High School class of 1944 and began an apprenticeship as a beautician with Wanda Robertson. Eventually she became owner and operator of beauty salons in Windsor and was considered a respected businesswoman in the community. She was a “people-person” and truly enjoyed visiting with everyone she came into contact with. In addition, Evelyn was a very good bridge player and continued to play for most of her life. Many days when she didn’t feel like doing much else, she would get together with her “bridge buddies”. She was especially proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. Evelyn was the first member of the Windsor First Christian Church and later Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warrensburg.
Evelyn is survived by her husband Vincent, of the home, daughter Marlyne Maple and husband Douglas of Knob Noster, son Mark Buell of Warrensburg; two grandchildren, Scott Maple of Warrensburg and Lindsey Potts and husband Boomer of Camdenton; one great-granddaughter Kyrrah Nicole Potts of Camdenton; several nieces and nephews, Alice Watson of Warsaw, Mary Dietz of Sedalia, Ila Ray of Kingsville, Dennis Kramer of Indiana, Diana Hogg of Nixa, and Bruce Kramer of Jefferson City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Marion R. Buell and Loron A. Kelly, and five brothers, Otto, Floyd, Russell, Lawrence, and R. Worth Kramer.
