The Warrensburg Lady Tigers swim team won the conference championship title Monday, swimming against Center, St. Pius, O’Hara and Smith-Cotton.
“This is our first consecutive conference win in four years,” said assistant coach Kelly Hobbs. “We are really proud of how well the girls performed and there were many personal records broken.”
The highlight of the night was taking the top three places in the 100 butterfly with Monique Corona placing first, Liz Smith taking second, and Macy Hoyer placing third.
“The team came together and swam really well,” Corona said. “We’ve prepared all season and it was great to see our hard work pay off.”
