UCM Athletics to host 1994 Mules Baseball reunion

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) — In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Central Missouri’s 1994 baseball national championship, Central Missouri athletics will host a 1994 Mules Baseball Reunion in conjunction with UCM’s final regular season home baseball series against Missouri Western on Saturday, April 19.

All members of the 1994 National Championship team are invited back for the weekend’s activities, which include a pregame lunch in the parking lot of Campus Evolution Villages, located just west of Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Team members will be recognized in a pre-game on-field ceremony before the Mules take on Missouri Western at 1 p.m. Following the game, a reception for the 1994 team members and their families will be held at 4 p.m. at Traditions Restaurant at the Audrey J. Walton Clubhouse at Keth Memorial Golf Course.

Blocks of hotel rooms are being held under “Mules BAseball Reunion” at Comfort Inn with a rate of $82 plus tax at 660-429-4848 or at the Holiday Inn Express with a rate of $89.99 plus tax at 660-747-3000. Please make your reservations soon as unreserved rooms will be released April 11.

The 1994 Mules won Central Missouri’s first baseball national championship. The 1994 Mules went 51-11 overall, won the MIAA regular season and tournament titles, hosted and won the NCAA Regional and went 4-1 at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Montgomery, Ala. The Mules defeated top-ranked Florida Southern 14-9 in the national championship game.
