Strong first half propels Crest Ridge past Holden

The Crest Ridge girls’ basketball team used a strong first-half to defeat Holden 40-36 Friday on the road.

“This was a hard-fought win,” said coach Katie Woolsey. “We had a great start to the game, which gave us the edge we needed to win the game. It was a 1-point game with 1 minute left and the girls did a good job of executing to get the win.”

Crest Ridge led 22-16 at the half.

Bre Wonderly had 14 points and six rebounds for Crest Ridge. Lily Hunter had 10 points and five rebounds.
