UCM procurement staff member receives certification

A University of Central Missouri staff member with the Department of Procurement and Materials Management recently earned a Certified Professional Public Buyer credential.

Roderick M. Woolen was recently notified by the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council that he earned the Certified Professional Public Buyer credential.

Woolen was among 164 professionals who successfully completed the CPPB examination held Oct. 15-27, 2012. To become certified as a CPPB, candidates must meet specific requirements established by the UPPCC; including formal education, procurement related coursework/training, public purchasing experience and functional management experience.  A comprehensive written examination is required to confirm the candidate’s mastery of the body of knowledge for public procurement professionals.
