Sharon J. Brown

Sharon Joyce Brown, 65, of Holden, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 9 at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, Calif.

The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden, Mo. with Brother Jeff Henson officiating.

Interment will follow at Holden Cemetery.

Friends may call the family from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home on the day of the service.

Sharon was born July 22, 1947 in Holden, Mo., the daughter of George Howard and Frances (Potter) Liddle. She lived in Holden all of her life and graduated from Holden High School in 1965. On Nov. 8, 1967 she married Michael E. Brown.

She leaves her husband, Michael Brown of the home; two sons, Shane Brown, of Calexico, Calif., and Joseph Brown, of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; her mother, Frances Cline, of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Terry Liddle, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Tommy Cine, of Kansas City, Mo.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Denise Ballard, and her father.

Memorial contributions are suggested for early detection cancer research.

    Mike,I just googled Sharon to get in touch with her to make sure we had her home address correct. We’re planning our 50th class reunion for 2015.
    I’m so shocked and saddened that she has passed on to a better life.
    We’ll be setting up a memorial at our reunion next year and sending invitations to the deceased spouses.
    Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
