(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – In the first set of regional rankings of the year, the Central Missouri Jennies are ranked No. 2 in the Central Region, announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Jennies hold an overall record of 21-2 on the season, and trail only Washburn, who holds the top spot in the rankings.
The NCAA Regional Rankings will be released each week through the remainder of the regular season. The final set of rankings will be released on Sunday, March 10, and will be used to fill out the field for the upcoming NCAA Division II Central Regional Tournament. The Central Region consists of the MIAA, Northern Sun, and Great American conferences.
Central Missouri has three games remaining in the regular season before the start of the MIAA Tournament in Kansas City. Two of those final three games are against teams ranked among the top five in the region, Truman and Washburn.
