Sheriff escorts the president

Dear editor,

I noted in your news article about the president going from Whiteman to Warrensburg that Sheriff Heiss led the procession and said that he was very excited to do so. I wouldn’t think that he would even do that after all the derogatory things he has said about our president. Doing this allowed him to make a big splash before the public. He likes to be noticed, and seems to say “Look at me and what I am doing.” One thing he is proficient at, is securing money from the County Commission.

I think that’s an ingnorant thing for you to say as a man who is “mature.” I am far from a democrat and am not a huge fan of our current president but I DID attend the President’s speech and found it an honor to do so. It is rare occurrence for the president of the United States of America to be in your hometown. I think by the Sheriff leading the motorcade was an honorable thing to do.
