Esther I. Cline

Esther I. Cline, 91, of Centerview, Mo., died Thursday, April 17, at Western Missouri Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, at Columbus Christian Fellowship Church with Brother Richard Litle officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Hocter, Chris Hendren, Kyle Johnson and Brandon Johnson.

Interment will follow at Columbus Christian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Warrensburg Animal Shelter and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.

She was born March 4, 1923, in Codell, Kan, the daughter of Jesse R. and Mattie (Danner) Cline.

During WWII, Esther worked as a riveter and an A-1 welder building gliders. After the war, she worked as an assembler at Western Electric for many years and retired in 1988 after 24 years. Esther then became a full time rancher. She was never without a job during her whole lifetime and always helped others who needed help.  Esther was a member of the Codell Kansas Baptist Church.

Esther is survived by her long time friend,Theresa Hocter of Centerview; her great niece, Jama Edie of Whitecloud, Kan. and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
