(STOTTS CITY, Mo., AP) — Investigators are working to determine what caused a twin-engine plane crash that killed two people in southwest Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday four miles west of Stotts City in Lawrence County.
Patrol Sgt. Mike Watson says a small fire started after the plane crash. No other injuries were reported.
Lawrence County Sheriff Brad DeLay says the plane went down about 50 yards behind a home in a heavily wooded area.
The names of the victims and the destination of the plane were not immediately available.
