(INDEPENDENCE, Mo., AP) — Police say three people are hospitalized after being shot at a home in the Kansas City suburb of Independence. Two suspects are being sought.
Independence police Capt. John Cato says police were called to a single-story house in an older residential area about 4:30 a.m.
The three people who were shot were all hospitalized but their conditions were not immediately available.
Cato says investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting. Police also are still working on a description of the suspects.
A neighbor, Charlene Meyers, told The Associated Press that the family, which included a woman and several children, moved in within the last year. She says she didn’t hear any gunshots early Friday in what she called a quiet and safe neighborhood.
