The Warrensburg Lady Tigers captured the District 6 girls golf title on Tuesday with a score of 340, beating 2nd place finisher Lee’s Summit West by 7 strokes, according to a press release. The district girls golf title is the first in school history.
In winning the title the team was led by Taylor Black who fired an individual school record score of 69 , 3 under par, at Hoot’s Hallow Golf Course in Harrisonville. Her -3 score was the winning score by 8 strokes. Bailey Yost shot an 88, finishing tied for 9th, Hanna Johnson shot a 90, tied for 11th, Cierra Collins shot a 93, tied for 18th and Emilie Thompson shot a 100 finishing tied for 27th.
Black, Yost, and Johnson earned all district honors with their performances. With the win the team advances to sectional play scheduled for Monday the 14th at Marshfield Country Club.
