WPD officer promoted to major

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) — Lieutenant Asher Snook has been promoted to the rank of major with the Police Department.

Snook is a veteran of 29 years with the Warrensburg Police Department and has served the past 14 years as a lieutenant of operations and patrol. Before being promoted to lieutenant, he served as a corporal and patrol officer in both Patrol and Traffic Divisions.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri in criminal justice administration and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Quantico, Va.

Snook served in the Air Force prior to joining the WPD. After being hired, he continued to serve in the Air Force Reserves, retiring in 2007 as a senior master sergeant.
