Larry D. Wright

Larry D. Wright, 82, of Holden, Missouri, formerly of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, died March 17, at the Kansas City VA Medical Center.

Larry was born Oct. 11, 1932, in Doland, South Dakota, to Silvis S. Wright and ILa B. (Owen) Wright. He married Faye Ballard on Dec. 27, 1968, in Miami, Oklahoma. Larry was a residential painter for many years and served in the United States Army.

He was a member of the VFW in Lee’s Summit, National Rifle Association, and volunteered in the local, state and national election polls.

Surviving his passing are his wife, Faye Wright, of the home; one son, Jack Wright, and wife, Lana, of Lee’s Summit; one daughter, Karen Ash, of Lowry City, Missouri; one brother, Allen Wright, of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Friday, March 20, at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home.

Services will be noon to 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 20 at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorial contributions to go to the Holden VFW.
