Harold Edward Golightly, 85, of Centerview, Missouri, died Friday, April 24, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Harold was born April 11, 1930, in St. James, Missouri, the son of Clarence and Katherine (Breyers) Golightly. He was united in marriage to Anna M. Mangaro on Sept. 5, 1953, in Pine Hill, New Jersey. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Harold’’s military career took his family all over the world. He served in England, Thailand, Vietnam, Germany and Newfoundland. He was also stationed at McGuire AFB in New Jersey, Loring AFB in Maine, McDill AFB in Florida and George AFB in California. In 1978, Harold and his family moved to a farm near Centerview. He enjoyed going for rides in the country.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; son, Michael Golightly and wife, Rachel, of Mobile, Alabama; two daughters, Karen Crevier and husband, Michael, of Schenectady, New York; and Ann Pritchett and husband, Joseph, of Ft. Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Ryan Golightly, of Mobile; Steven Crevier, of Schenectady; Jennifer Crevier, of Schenectady; and Kathleen Gates and husband, Mark, of Mayfield, New York; four great-grandchildren, Logan Clark, Ariella Martin, Emily Gates and Melody Gates; two sisters, Margaret Vinson, of Charleston, Missouri; and Mary Matthews and husband, John, of Wright City, Missouri; two brothers, Clarence Golightly and wife, Maudie, of Cahokia, Illinois; and Billy Golightly and wife, Sandy, of Hiawatha, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret Moran; sister, Ruby, and two brothers, Eugene and Donald.

Following cremation, private family services will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Warrensburg Veterans Home.
