Linda Turner-Angweye

Linda Turner-Angweye, 64, died on April 29.

She was born Feb. 4, 1951, in Mayview, Missouri, to James W. Turner and Lillian Maxine Mayberry-Turner. She was the sixth of 15 children born to this union.

Linda attended school in Mayview. She worked in various establishments cooking, which she loved to do. She loved helping others and reading, listening to her favorite tunes and telling her children, nieces, nephews the scariest stories ever told. She loved spending time with family and friends fishing.

She leaves two daughters, Richanda E. Turner and Tamara S. Cooks, of Warrensburg, Missouri; six brothers, James Turner, Robert Turner and Charles Turner, of Warrensburg; Jerry Turner, of Wichita, Kansas; Gary (Lois) Turner, of Higginsville, Missouri; and John Turner, of Cameron, Mo. Four sisters, Patricia Hunley and Brenda Turner, of Amarillo, Texas; Imogene (John) Talbert and Stacey Turner, of Warrensburg; three aunts, Laverne Collins, of Higginsville; Elizabeth West, of Topeka, Kansas; and Dawn Cole, of St. Louis; two grandsons, Tyray and Travis Turner; one granddaughter, Tanieca Warner, of Kansas City, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, and a special friend, James Byers, and many others.

Her parent, a sister, Barbara Jean Turner, a daughter, Lillian E. Turner, and a great-granddaughter, Talayshia Turner, proceeded her in death.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg with Pastor Morris Collins officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be John Talbert, Ralph Collins, Charles Jackson, Roosevelt Collins, Lonnie Rich and Daryl L. Talbert.
