Western Missouri Medical Center will host a Family Fun “Super” Run/Walk 5K and free Health Fair at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at 403 Burkarth Road. WMMC’s annual Health Fair added a new wellness activity with a superhero-themed, family-friendly 5K Run/Walk. The health fair and 5K will be located on WMMC’s main campus. Race registration is at 7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. The Health Fair runs from 7:30-11 a.m. To register for the 5K Run/Walk, visit www.enter2run.com and search “Family Fun Super Run.”

The 5K participants are encouraged to dress in their best superhero attire for a chance to win prizes and giveaways for the whole family. The health fair includes a variety of family-friendly activities, health screenings, bounce houses, healthy snacks and a multitude of community businesses/organizations in attendance!

The Family Fun “Super” Run 5K will also support WMMC’s donation efforts to the 2015 Johnson County Heart Walk, which helps fight heart disease and stroke.
