The program, ISIS: Rise, Evolution and Future panel discussion, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the Elliott Student Union, Room 236. The program will address the rise, evolution and future of ISIS in the Middle East from varying disciplinary perspectives: sociology, political science, English and history. Dr. Kamel Ghozzi will present “The Way to Counter ISIS: The Tunisian Example.” Dr. Zaid Mahir will present “The Response of Iraqi Intellectuals, Artists, and Writers to the ISIS Threat.” Dr. Mike Makara will present “What Political Science Can Tell us About ISIS?” Then the floor will be opened to questions.
