Dorothy Helen Mackley, 86, of Holden, Missouri, died Nov. 2, at the Holden Manor Care Center.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the Holden Cemetery.

Dorothy was born Oct. 1, 1929, in Union Star, Missouri, to Ray Gabhart and Gertrude (Knaptenburger) Gabhart. After graduation from high school, Dorothy attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician. Dorothy was a member of the Oak Grove Bowling Club in Oak Grove, Missouri. Dorothy has lived in the Holden area since 1991, moving here from St. Joseph, Missouri.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Hurles Mackley, in May 2008; one son, Michael E. Mackley, in December 1989; and one daughter, Carol Laynette Delarraro, in September 2014. Dorothy is survived by one son, Steve Mackley, and wife, Jean, of Holden; one sister, Karen Lloyd, of Phoenix, Arizona; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association in Prairie Village, Kansas, in memory of Dorothy Helen Mackley.

Services were entrusted to Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home.
