Barbara Ann McMullin, Holden Missouri, died Thursday, Jan. 14 at home.

The visitation is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home.

Barbara was born May 22, 1947, to Keith Sturgis and Marjorie (Teater) Sturgis in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Barbara graduated from Holden High School in 1966 and after some college she worked in marketing as a Print Shop Engineer at Stahl Specialty. Barbara lived in the Holden area her entire life and was a very active member of the Holden Saddle Club. Barbara had a big heart for animals and had a passion working with animal rescues of any type.

She is survived by two sons, Clint McMullin and wife Staci, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Scott McMullin and girlfriend Becky Mann, Holden, Missouri; two grandchildren, Clayton McMullin and Layn McMullin; three step grandchildren, Josh, Emily, and Matthew and one great grandchild, Lexi.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Keith and Marjorie Sturgis; and her great grand-daughter, Kai-Lynn.

Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Barbara A. McMullin to the Wounded Warrior Project.
