Lifelong Learning at the University of Central Missouri presents “Making Marvelous: Upcycled Art” at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the Warrensburg Community Center, Rooms B & C, at 445 E. Gay St. The program is free and open to the public and is co-sponsored by Mid-Missouri Artists.

This program features artistic samples from the Mid-Missouri Artists challenge for the year 2015: to create art from found or discarded objects. Several items will be on display, and artists will discuss their creations. Among the works will be a bird sculpture welded from repurposed tools and a wooden mask created from an old plant stand and seed pods. Light refreshments will be provided.
