Shots fired at Central Village

(WARRENSBURG, Mo., digitalBURG) — UCM Public Safety received a report of shots fired around 7:39 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Central Village.

Officers responded to four or five gunshots occurring in UCM Parking Lot 51 in front of Central Village at 1010 S. Holden St., according to a UCM Public Safety incident report. There were no reported injuries.

UCM officers arrived at Central Village at approximately 7:41 p.m. and determined Building 10 in the apartment complex had been damaged by the gunshots, according to the report. A person reported seeing a white sedan quickly leaving the area after the shots were fired.

UCM Public Safety sent out a campuswide email and text alert later that evening notifying faculty, staff and students of the incident and asked that anyone with information to contact them by phone at 660-543-4123 or anonymously through ucmo.edu/crime.
