Mary R. Crawford, 83, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Sunday, May 28, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 1, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Joe Bathke, C.PP.S., officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason, Jeremy, Josh, and Gage Bowers, Mike Crawford, and Jerry Stone. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.

She was born in St. Louis on Nov. 12, 1933, the daughter of John and Helen (Phillips) Lambert.

She and John Crawford were married on May 12, 1984, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1991.

Mary was a manager of jewelry repair at Dillard’s in St. Louis for 26 years. After moving to Warrensburg, she became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Cathy Bowers and husband, Harold, of Knob Noster; a sister, Connie Stone, of Marietta, Georgia; four grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, and Josh Bowers, and Bill Mortland; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Mortland, and a son, Bill Mortland Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church and can be left in care of the funeral home.
