Norman “Jake” Jacoby, 89, of Warrensburg, Missouri died Wednesday, June 7, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center.

Jake was born October 18, 1927, in Wellsville, Kansas the son of Lewis Jacoby and Daisy R. Ross Jacoby. He was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Buckle on December 31, 1949, in Yates City, Kansas. The couple had homes in both Lakeland, Florida and Gardner, Kansas. Jake was a salesman for Sun Electric in Merriam, Kansas for several years. He was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his son: Dean Jacoby and wife, Denise, of Thurmont, MD; four grandchildren: Michael Jacoby and companion, Crystal, of Celina, TX; Preston Jacoby and wife, Ariel, of Sanger, TX; Christine Belt and husband, Mike, of Holden, MO; and Aaron Jacoby and wife, Lindsey, of Thurmont, MD; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; sister: Martha Jacoby and two brothers: Lewis Jacoby and Marshall Jacoby.
