Rodger Iiams, 69, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Saturday, July 15, at John Knox Village Hospice House in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 17, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Interment followed in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dakota Holt, Danny Iiams, Scott Iiams, Darin Savage, John Smith and Jim Noble.

Rodger was born Sept. 24, 1947, in Warrensburg to Orville and Blanche Schmidt Iiams. He worked as a dishwasher for over 35 years at the Raphael and Alameda Plaza Hotels in Kansas City, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and half-brother, Tommy Iiams.

Surviving family includes his brother, Orville “Jack” Iiams, of Warrensburg; half-brother, William Iiams, of Kansas City; and half-sister, Helen Parsons, of Columbus, Missouri.
