(WARRENSBURG, Mo.)–UCM’s Mock Trial team placed second at an invitational tournament hosted by Northwest Missouri State University from Oct. 19-20.

The team went up against Central College, the University of Nebraska, South Dakota University, and Washburn University, and finished with a 6-2 record.

This year’s team has a good mix of returning veterans and new mock trialers.  Team members include:  Ben Marble, Kayla Meine, Sarah Evans, Alana Caruso, Sarah Ramlal, Cristel Hager, Kailea Bogner, Nicole Southall, Maren Veifhaus, Kyle Becker and Andre Tinoco.

Not only did the Mock Trialers do well as a team, but two students won individual awards.  Ben Marble won a Best Attorney Award and Sarah Evans won an Outstanding Witness Award.
