Anna Lucille Parsons, 78, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Thursday, Dec. 14, at Country Club Care Center.
Anna was born on April 4, 1939, in Johnson County, Missouri, the daughter of Albert Leroy Clifton and Cora (Carl) Clifton. She married Donald Parsons on Feb. 8, 1957, in Warrensburg.
In addition to raising a family, she was also a cook and baker and was well-known for her pies and rolls. She loved sewing, quilting, crafts and making greeting cards. She was a longtime member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was committed to her church and strong in her faith.
Survivors include her husband, Donald, of the home; daughter, Terry Griffith, of Longmont, Colorado; daughter, Kathy Schell and husband, Mark, of Warrensburg; daughter, Kelly Rector and husband, Guy, of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren, Erik Griffith, Will Griffith, Ashton Schell and Douglas Rector; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Griffith, William Hamilton and Colin Rector; and sister, Vera Ruth Moore, of Conroe, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Cora Clifton; and sisters, Alberta, Lula Mae and Hazel.
Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 17, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Randy Crawshaw officiating. Interment followed in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Doug Rector, Erik Griffith, Jim Matthews, Steve Ditty, Dana Parsons and Max Parsons. Honorary pallbearers were Ashton Schell, Will Griffith, Sherry Snider, Charley Snider, Kenneth Parsons, Bette Lowry and Karen Kuppersmith.
Contributions may be made to Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Warrensburg or Jacoby Chapel Church of Warrensburg in her memory, and checks may be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home.
