Kenneth Ernest Ensley, 77, of Overland Park, Kansas, died Dec. 27, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Memorial services are set for Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Community of Christ Church, 4440 Shawnee Drive in Kansas City, Kansas.

Kenneth was born in Plumas, California, on Oct. 30, 1940, to Ernest Frederick Ensley and Grace Francis (Daugherty) Ensley. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri and worked in horticulture, plant science.

Surviving his passing is his son, Kenneth William Slayor, of Chilhowee, Missouri; one foster son, Marco Antonio Ponce; and one foster grandson, Bulmaro Solis Jr., Overland Park.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Gossett; one brother, Robert Ensley; and one sister, Vivian Grace Ensley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a contribution be made to Outreach International in Independence, Missouri, or Shawnee Drive Community of Christ Church in Kansas City, Kansas.
