Going for Gold: having great health as you turn silver

UCM’s Lifelong Learning series will present the program “Going for Gold: having great health as you turn silver” 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 6, in classroom 1 at Western Missouri Medical Center.
The event is free and open to the public.
The program will focus on diet and exercise as major drivers in disease prevention and management, and Alicia Ferris-Dannenberg will actively engage the audience during the program.
The session will be presented by Ferris-Dannenberg, who has worked as a registered nurse in the United States and Germany over her 32-year career. She has specialized in preoperative care, pain management, intensive cardiac care and cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. During 16 of those years, she has incorporated exercise physiology. Ferris-Dannenberg currently serves as a disease management registered nurse.
