WMMC Offers Safe Sitter Class

$40Western Missouri Medical Center is offering a Safe Sitter class at 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at 427 Burkarth Rd., Warrensburg, Missouri.
Safe Sitter prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting.
The class cost $40 per person. They will learn life-saving skills, such as how to rescue someone who’s choking, and helpful information about what to do during is severe weather.
The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students get to use mannequins to practice CPR and choking rescue. Class fee includes learning materials and lunch.
