Sharon L. Reith, 82, of Warrensburg, Missouri died on Friday, March 23, at Country Club Care Center, after a long illness of congestive heart failure and diabetes.A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Pastor Joel Kurz of Bethlehem Lutheran Church will officiate the services. She will be inurned at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1935, in Wichita, Kansas, to Oscar and Helen Bowen. She loved to sew, garden, and dearly loved animals. She also enjoyed going to classical music programs.
Sharon is survived by her husband of over 20 years, Douglas Reith, of Country Club Care Center; step-son, Craig Reith, of Higginsville, Missouri; brother, Bruce Bowen, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nieces, Jaci Walsh (husband, Jim) of Houston, Texas, Stephanie of Washington, and Teresa of Scottsdale, Arizona; nephews, Jeff Hawes, Arlington, Texas and Chris (wife, Sandy) of Arizona; and sister-in- law, Martha Lou Reith of Scottsdale, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Helen Bowen of Cushing, Oklahoma; sister, Joy Hawes of Lawton, Oklahoma; parents-in-law, Walter and Paula Reith of Concordia, Missouri; and a brother-in- law, James W. Reith of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Kindly omit flowers. Contributions are suggested in her honor to Best Friends Animal Society and can be left in care of the funeral home.
