Charles Clifton Young, 69 of Warrensburg, Missouri died Saturday, April 21, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with Rev. Charles Brant officiating.
There will be a private interment at Davidson Cemetery in Everton, Arkansas at a later date. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time, Saturday at the funeral home.
Charles was born Dec. 23, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas son of William B. and Dorothy (Slape) Young. He was raised in Harrison, having graduated from Harrison High School. He married Bobbie Waters and the couple lived in Harrison.
Shortly following, Charles enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He married Carol Jean Olson and the couple lived at Camp LaJune, North Carolina; Harrison, Arkansas and Duluth, Minnesota. For the past nearly 30 years, Charles had lived north of Warrensburg. He married Rada (Drewry) on Feb. 16, 2008 in Warrensburg. He was an auto mechanic and heavy equipment operator by trade. Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding and time spent with family and close friends.
Survivors include two sons: Mikael (Laura) Young of Chilhowee and Jason Gilbert of Warrensburg; six daughters: Tamara (Matt) Duncan of Arkansas; Carrie Young of Washington; Amanda Young of Arkansas; Janetta Young of Warrensburg; Rachael; and Regan (Jr.) Headly of Warrensburg; sister: Charlotte Smith of Arkansas; brother: Willie Young of Burgman, Arkansas; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two wives, Carol and Rada; parents, son: Charles Young, Jr.; two sisters and a brother.
