Bonnie Bixby Ingeman, 95, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Thursday, June 7, at Sunrise Senior Living in Leawood, Kansas.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday June 16, until service time at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg. Funeral services follow at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Iowa.
Bonnie is the daughter of John Homer and Vera Lorraine (White) Stuck, was born in Lamoni, Iowa, on July 22, 1922. She graduated from Lamoni High School in 1940, and attended Graceland College in Lamoni Iowa, majoring in home economics.
On August 25, 1945, Bonnie and Glenn A. Bixby were united in marriage in Lamoni, Iowa, and to this union, five children were born. Glenn and Bonnie shared over 52 years together before Glenn’s passing on Jan. 5, 1998. Bonnie married Elmer A. Ingeman on June 12, 1999, and they enjoyed 11 years of marriage before Elmer’s passing on Dec. 20, 2011.
Bonnie enjoyed a long career and made many friends while employed at Walmart in Warrensburg. She was a member of the Community Church of Christ.
Bonnie’s love of music, cooking, traveling, flower gardening and family made for a full and rich life. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Bonnie is survived by Sylvia Basford and husband Chuck, St. Louis, Missouri; Steven Bixby and wife Susan, Purcellville, Virginia; John Bixby and wife Diane, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Linda Hobbs and husband John, Ozark, Missouri; James Bixby and wife Cyd, Clearfield, Utah; 9 Grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sister in law, Dora Ann Stuck of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, brother Robert Stuck and grandson Charles Basford III.
Memorial Contribution are suggested to the Glenn Bixby Memorial Scholarship and can be left in care of the funeral home.
