UCM women’s golfer Elizabeth Leath was recently named College Sports Information Director’s of America Academic All-American, according to a press release.
This season, she averaged 78.33 per round in 11 tournaments, had three second-place finishes, including a 2-under-par finish at the MIAA Fall Preview. She finished tied for 10th place at the MIAA Championships and tied for 14th at the regional tournament.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must maintain a 3.30 grade point average, and Leath has a 4.0 while majoring in accountancy. They must be a starter or key reserve in their sport and be selected as a First Team All-District member.
She earned the title in the At-Large Division, made up of sports such as golf, gymnastics, rowing, tennis, swimming, lacrosse, ice hockey, field hockey, skiing and beach volleyball.
