Sheran Lee DeMonbrun, 74, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, died July 10 at home.

Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Monday July 16, with Pastor Darrell Godfrey Shawnee Bible Church officiating.

Sheran was born Oct. 3, 1943, in Johnson County, Missouri. She graduated from Raytown High School in 1961, then took classes at Calvary Bible College. She married and shortly and thereafter moved to Manhattan, Kansas, where she worked for K-State and Northview Elementary. She moved back to the Kansas City, Missouri, area in 2005.

She will be greatly missed by her mother of 94 years, Maxine Hughes, of Merriam, Kansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Teyre Leigh and James Wido; and two grandchildren, Ryleigh and Rogan Wido of Waukegan, Illinois. Her son and daughter-in-law, Geramy Douglas and Sally; and two grandchildren, Katie and Garrett DeMonbrun of Olathe, Kansas.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Sheron Lee DeMonbrun to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation in Johnson County, Missouri.
