Ann (Christopher) Elwell, 91, of Warrensburg, died Sunday, Aug. 12, at her home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Interment will followed in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Ann was born April 26, 1927, in Warrensburg, to James and Iris (Morris) Christopher. She graduated from Warrensburg High School in 1944. In 1948, she graduated from the University of Missouri: Columbia, with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
On Dec. 22, 1951, she and William F. Elwell were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church. Ann worked as a secretary for the Warrensburg R-VI school district for 20 years before retiring in 1992.
Ann is survived by two daughters, Karen Elwell of Warrensburg and Kelly Elwell of Blue Springs, Missouri. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and her daughter, Christiane Elwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research and can be left in care of the funeral home.
