John D. Sears

John D. Sears, 65, of Harrisonville, Missouri, formerly of Kingsville, Missouri, died Thursday, Jan. 3, at Cass County Medical Center in Harrisonville.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor John McRoy of Kingsville Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Sears, Mickey Fleeman, Jason Brown, Larry Weir, Beau Fleeman, Joey Fleeman and Vinnie Sears.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry and Sharon Weir and Dino and Debbie Phelps.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

John was born July 28, 1953, at Ft. Riley, Kansas, the son of James H. and Donna Jean (Pfeiffer) Sears. He lived at Green City, Missouri, prior to moving to Renick where he started school. Next, he lived with his family in Cairo, Missouri. John lived in Kingsville since 1967, having graduated from Kingsville High School. He had lived in Harrisonville for the past several years. John was employed with Casco Area Workshop at the time of his passing.

Survivors include his parents, James and Donna Sears, of Kingsville; two sisters, Jamey (Mickey) Fleeman, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; and Debbie Fleeman, of Kingsville; brother, Jeff (Bernadette) Sears, of Louisburg, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Pfeiffer; paternal grandparents, Emmett and Dollie Sears; and his brother-in-law, Danny Fleeman.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Casco Area Workshop in care of the funeral home.
