Southeast Mo. police officer shoots, kills suspect

(SENATH, Mo., AP) — A suspect is dead after being shot by a police officer in southeast Missouri.

KFVS-TV (http://bit.ly/VFzxXH) reports that the shooting happened Sunday night in Senath. Police responded to a domestic disturbance call. Officers say a man at the home became aggressive and approached an officer with a knife.

The man reportedly ignored orders to stop and an officer fired a single shot that killed the man. The officer was not hurt.

The name of the suspect has not been released. An investigation continues.
