The Knob Noster boys basketball team lost to the Higginsville Huskers 54-37 in the District 14 championship game Saturday night.
“I am very proud of how far we came throughout the season,” said coach Adam Easterwood. “The men did not leave anything on the court tonight. We lost to a very good team on their home court tonight. We have no reason to hang our heads or be ashamed. We played like champions and gave it everything we had.”
The Panthers finish the season 20-8.
The Huskers held a 10-point advantage, 28-18, going into the halftime break.
Brett Marsh was the leading scorer for the Panthers with 12 points, followed by Hayden Anderson with seven.
Brett Nolte had 18 points and six rebounds for Higginsville. Tyrell Thirkeld had 16 Points, five rebounds and eight assists.
