The University of Central Missouri’s Department of Theatre & Dance will present their spring dance concert at 7:30 p.m. March 8 & 9 in the Highlander Theatre.
Louder Than Words is an evening of contemporary dance styles choreographed by the very best of UCM faculty and student choreographers.
Admission is $12 for the general public, $10 for faculty, staff and senior citizens, and $7 for students. Tickets are available at the University of Central Missouri Theatre box office, Wood 128, beginning Monday, March 4. The box office is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Tickets may also be reserved by calling the box office at 660-543-8811 and will be available at the door. Children under the age of five will not be admitted.
Louder Than Words is filled with power and energy, as each piece reflects upon works of American Literature, speech, and historical events. This concert is an opportunity for dance students to expand their journey into artistic expression and stretch dance theatre boundaries in an edgy, inventive and inspired concert by some of today’s most promising young artists.
Louder Than Words is an ensemble of 21 dancers, including Meg Aleshire, Annie Beile, Devin Burns, Kalob Cunningham, Lindsey Freihott, Jasmine Harlan, Ashley Koehn, Natalie Krahenbuhl, Kelly Krasuski, Nellie Maple, Briant Mitchell, Jacinta Mitchell, Alexis Morris, Jill Mott, Brooke Myers, Daniel Parman, Natasha Parsons, Katie Poggemeier, Kelsey Reinsfelder and Nora Wombwell.
The concert showcases the work of seven choreographers, including the Artistic Director Ashley Miller; Meridith Harmon Sauer Guest Artist, Melissa Larson; Students, Annie Beile, Devin Burns, Kalob Cunningham, Natasha Parsons, and features Natalie Krahenbuhl’s Senior Honors Project.
