Alberta Nadine Hinkle, 82, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died on Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2015, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center surrounded by family.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at the Whiteman Chapel at Whiteman Air Force Base. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Non-military ID holders should allow time to be granted base access.
Nadine was born March 24, 1933, in Atlantic, Iowa, the daughter of Christian and Gertrude (Lile) Petersen.
She attended Atlantic High School and moved to Missouri in 1980.
Nadine enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. Nadine and her husband, Jerry Hinkle, owned and operated L&H Appliance until their retirement in 2015.
Nadine is survived by her husband, Jerry, of Warrensburg; one sister, Helen Zaloudek, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a daughter, Robin Matheny, and husband, Billy, of Warrensburg; a son, Robert Lansdown, and wife, Sandy, of Atlantic, Iowa; four grandchildren, Denton Matheny; Mehgan Simpson and husband, Steven, of Warrensburg; Chad Lansdown and wife, Stephanie, of Atlantic; and Jamie Pelzer and husband, Ryan, of Malvern, Iowa; five great-grandchildren, Skylar, Sophia and Melody Simpson; Hayden Lansdown and Korbin Pelzer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Milo Petersen, Harvey Petersen and Bill Petersen; and two sisters, Treva Lensch and Norma Jean Young.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Nadine Hinkle Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Robin Matheny. Contributions can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
