Annibelle Frances (Scott) “Paddy” Beck, 83, formerly of Ellisville, Missouri, died Tuesday, May 31, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and again Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until service time.
Inurnment will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
Paddy was born Jan. 19, 1933, in St. Louis, the daughter of Charles W. and Harriet (Taylor) Scott and step daughter of Ruth Scott. They have all preceded her in death. She was raised in Chester, Illinois.
She and Fred J. Beck were united in marriage on June 21, 1958, in Brentwood, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2016.
Paddy worked as a secretary at Tretolite Corporation where she met Fred. She worked as an administrative assistant at McGraw-Hill.
Paddy’s passions included painting, miniatures, her doll house, gardening, and making costumes for family. She loved art, literature and travel. Her favorite things were spending time with grandchildren and having family get-togethers.
Paddy was a mother to three children, Gail Wermuth (husband David), Jenny Malawy (husband Greg), and Mark Beck (wife Suzanne); grandmother to nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sister to Angela Search (husband Ted, deceased); Ruth Ann Neff (husband Bob, deceased); Ron Scott (wife Janet); Beth Willhite (husband Doyle); Annette Barbeau (deceased); Celeste Higgins (husband Mike); Wally Scott (wife Patty); and Joe Scott (wife Bev).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to UNICEF or the John Knox Meyer Care Center Employee Christmas Fund and can be left in care of the funeral home.
