Arnold William Webster, 88, of Sedalia, Missouri; formerly of Warrensburg, died Aug. 24, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Aug. 29, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, with Rev. Charles Brant officiating. Interment will follow at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2513; American Legion, Post 131 and United States Army Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.
Arnold was born Dec. 26, 1929, near Leeton, Missouri, the son of Walter Lee and Verna May (Ussery) Webster. On Sept. 26, 1954, he was united in marriage to Naomi Grace Loveall, who survives him. Arnold was a dedicated farmer on their farm south of Warrensburg. He retired from farming in 2008. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, with the heavy mortar company, 223rd Infantry Regiment. Arnold was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Leeton. He enjoyed genealogy, traveling and vacationing in Branson with Naomi.
Arnold will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man who cared for others and was especially proud of his grandchildren.
Also surviving: daughter, Janice Lamb of Sedalia; brother, Lewis Webster of Leon, Iowa; sister, Mary Ann (Don) McKinzie of Lee’s Summit; three sister-in-laws: Lorraine Loveall of Sugar Grove, Illinois; Mildred Reed of Overland Park, Kansas and Karen Loveall of Warsaw, Missouri; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Bruce) Page of Springfield, Missouri; Kristina (Brandon) Marsh of Kansas City, Missouri; and Matthew (Andrea) Lamb of Springfield; ten great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
