Barbara Ann Bonner, 67, of Lowry City, Missouri, died Saturday, May 7, at Golden Valley Memorial Health Care in Clinton.
Barbara was born Dec. 15, 1948, in Warrensburg, the daughter of Robert B. and Bertha L. (Lehnert) Houx. She graduated from Warrensburg High School. She was a hairdresser with Dottie’s Beauty Shop for over 20 years. She also worked at QuikTrip and Wal-Mart at one time. Barb was united in marriage to Jerry W. Bonner on Dec. 18, 1995, in Lowry City. For the past five years, she worked part time at Lakeland High School in Lowry City. She loved going to garage sales, sewing and other crafts. Barbara also owned and operated Turkey Ridge Taxidermy for 14 years.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry; daughter, Cindy Jenkins, and husband, Steve, of Leeton, Missouri; son, Cory Vogler, of Warrensburg; stepson, Wayne Bonner, and wife, Shelly, of Leeton; sister, Debbie Steelman, and husband, Ronnie, of Odessa; six grandchildren, Travis Jenkins, Ashley Denham, Brandon Vogler, Dax Vogler, Chase Vogler and Erin Bonner; five great-grandchildren; and her niece, Allison Steelman. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Cole Steelman.
Per Barbara’s wishes, services will be private.
