Calumet to expand in Louisiana, Mo.

(LOUISIANA, Mo., AP) — A northeast Missouri plant is expanding, a $40 million project expected to create 21 new jobs.

Gov. Jay Nixon on Monday announced the expansion of the Calumet Specialty Products Partners plant in Louisiana, Mo.

Calumet has about 1,250 employees at 11 facilities around the country. The company produces specialty hydrocarbon, selling to firms like ExxonMobil, Sherwin-Williams and L’Oreal.

Nixon’s office says Missouri is providing tax incentives for the expansion contingent upon the company meeting criteria for job creation and investment.
