Charles A. Faulconer, 83, of La Monte, Missouri, died Sept. 23, at Ridgecrest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warrensburg. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Oct. 6, at First Baptist Church of Sweet Springs with Rev. Jim West officiating.
Charlie was born Nov. 24, 1934 in Knob Noster, Missouri, son of Nathan and Frances (Fisher) Faulconer. He graduated from the La Monte High School. He was united in marriage to Deloris Ann Edson on Aug. 16, 1953, in Sweet Springs.
The couple lived in the Sweet Springs area prior to moving to Cretcher. They eventually relocated to Charlie’s mother’s farm near La Monte, Missouri, where he farmed for many years. Charlie retired nearly eight years ago and moved into La Monte. He was an avid poker player. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his son, Chuck Faulconer and wife, Sheila of Lamar, Missouri; sister, Doris Poe of Warrensburg; four grandchildren, April Faulconer, Kennie Anne Aldridge, Jennifer Aldridge and Steve Aldridge and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris; parents, Nathan and Frances; brother, Floyd Faulconer and sister, Edna McFarland.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the church.
