Charles Leroy Enke, 83, of Holden, Missouri, died Thursday, Jan. 21, at Holden Manor.
Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 24, at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at the Community of Christ Church in Holden.
Interment will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Holden.
Charles was born Feb. 5, 1932, to Franklin Eugene Enke and Lois Ann (Crandal) Enke in Bower Mill, Missouri, (Lawrence County) and was raised in the Kingsville area where he graduated in 1951. Charles married Doris Christenson on July 26, 1952, and served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. After serving in the Army, Charles worked for Honeywell and retired after 41 years. Charles was a member of the Holden VFW Post 5844 in Holden and was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Holden.
Surviving his passing is his wife, Doris Enke, of the home; two sons, Dan Enke, of Raymore, Missouri; David Enke and wife, Cheryl, of Kansas City Missouri; one daughter, Delva Enke, of Lenexa, Kansas; one brother, Bill Allee, and wife, Pat, of Harrisonville, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Darrel Enke; one infant girl; and a sister, Janice Allee.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Charles L. Enke to the Holden Area Ministerial Association.
