Claud Keltner Dempsey, 75, of Holden, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Centerview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Hastings, Tom Corum, Chad Lee, Barry Carnal, Larry Norris, and Jimmie Cleveland. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Claud was born May 1, 1941 in Osceola, Missouri, the son of Ferrell and Irene Dempsey.

Claud is survived by four sons, Randy Dempsey, of North Carolina, Robert Dempsey of Holden, Missouri, Tim Dempsey and wife, Alice, of Warrensburg, and Kelly Dempsey, of Concordia, Missouri; a daughter, Rebecca Fennewald, of Holden; five brothers, Harvey, Doug, Curtis, Lynn, and Denny Dempsey; three sisters, Carol Homfeld, Judy Stephens, and Dorothy Street; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Wanda Kay.
