The Crest Ridge girls’ basketball team easily handled Lexington 56-20 Thursday on the road.
Crest Ridge took a commanding 32-16 lead into halftime, and limited Lexington to two points in both the third and fourth quarters.
The win improves Crest Ridge’s record to 6-1 overall.
“First half was a little rough, but the girls kept their composure and played a great second half,” said coach Katie Woolsey. “Great team effort, I’m very pleased how well the girls are playing together.”
Mel Branscum had 19 points and six assists for Crest Ridge. Bre Wonderly had 10 points, Lily Hunter had 10, and Kaitlyn Francy had eight points, six steals and 11 rebounds.
Next up for Crest Ridge is a road game at Holden Friday.
